The 2016 HR-V combines efficiency and performance with a 141-hp In-Line 4-Cylinder engine, available with either 2-Wheel Drive or All-Wheel Drive, and either a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission (“CVT”) with Sport Mode and available Dual-Mode Paddle Shifters. The 6-Speed only comes on the 2WD LX and EX trims, and gets up to 25/34 mpg*. The CVT with 2WD gets up to 28/35 mpg* (the most efficient combination), while the CVT with AWD gets up to 27/32 mpg*.
The 2016 Honda HR-V has the capability of a crossover with the style of a coupe. Built slightly smaller than the popular Honda CR-V, the 2016 HR-V still has plenty of interior space, with over 39 inches of legroom in the back, up to 58.8 cu ft of cargo volume, and total passenger volume of 100.1 cu ft. Pack large or oddly-sized cargo with confidence using the 60/40 Split 2nd-Row Magic Seat. Big enough for five passengers, but small enough for living in the city, this crossover has no trouble finding a parking space. The 2016 HR-V looks cool, too, with curvaceous styling and camouflaged rear door handles.
