Sign Up The Kids For Horse Lover’s Summer Camp

Horse Lovers

If you have a child (or children) with an adventurous spirit who wants to do more than lounge by the pool, here’s something fun, educational, and thrilling they can do during the summer break. The Hi-Voltage Acres Equestrian Riding Academy in Bradenton is currently hosting a Horse Lovers Summer Camp for interested riders ages 8 to 17.

The camp takes place from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, during which kids will learn the basic skills of riding and safety, as well as aspects of grooming, nutrition, anatomy, horse care, veterinary care, and more.

If you’re interested in signing your kids up, read on for camp details!

Horse Camp Fees & Schedule

The cost to attend Horse Lovers Camp is $60 per day or $250 per week. A $50 deposit is due at the time of registration. Helmets are required (safety first!), however, if your child does not have a helmet, you can purchase one from the camp for a one-time fee of $40.

Horse Camp is a rain or shine event. However, the schedule will be adjusted where necessary to accommodate any rain or storms.

Each day will begin with riding. Since this camp is designed for beginners, your child’s level of experience won’t be a concern. Instructors will be there to ensure proper riding technique and safety.

After the initial ride, horses will be bathed and cooled while campers attend a hands-on Horse Science Lesson. From there, everyone will break for lunch, followed by a period of water activity or pool time. (Please note, your child must know how to swim to use the pool. If a floatation device is required, you must provide it.) The day will wrap up with a variety of mid-afternoon activities, such as “goat races”, horse decorating, games, bareback riding, and more.
