Hunsader Farms 28th Annual Pumpkin Festival

Festival

Are you wondering what you’re going to do to celebrate the season this year? Now that the temperature is finally getting a bit cooler and fall time festivities are starting, you’re probably looking for a way to get into the groove of the season. So, just what’s out there that you should check out? Perhaps the most exciting local festival around is the Hunsader Farms 28th Annual Pumpkin Festival. It’s going to be a blast for families, and there’s so much going on that you won’t want to leave.

This year, the festival is going to take place on three separate weekends. You can come out on Oct. 12 to 13, 19 to 20, or 26 to 27. No matter which weekend you choose, you know you’re going to have a ton of fun with your local community. Each day of the event, the festivities will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so you really do have the whole day full of entertainment. Admission is just $10 for adults, and kids ages 10 and under get in for free. Oh, and parking costs $5, so be sure to bring some cash with you as well. Check out just some of what you can do while you’re there.

Free Activities

Once you pay admission to get into the festival, there are a ton of activities you can enjoy completely for free. If you take advantage of these activities, you don’t have to spend a ton of money to have a great time. You have to go on the hayrides, especially if you have little ones. They are going to love it. But there’s a lot more to check out too. For example, spend time watching the chainsaw sculptor and juggler do their things. Then take some time to visit the adorable animals at the petting zoo. Don’t forget to go to the barnyard playground, either. And you definitely want to catch some of the live music that will be playing there.

From roasted corn to pumpkin pie, you really can’t go wrong.
